Vielha
The town of Vielha lies in the valley of Valle d'Aran. Some of the tallest
peaks in the Pyrenees are located here.
The highlight of Vielha is the ski resort of Baquera-Beret. The Baquera is
one of the most frequented ski stations of the Vall d'Aran which offers numerous
sightseeing opportunities in addition to excellent skiing.
Vielha also boasts some historic gems. Take, for example, the church of San
Miguel where you can see the image of Christ inscribed on a Romanesque tower.
Vielha makes for an enjoyable stay with upmarket bars, cafes, restaurants and
tapas bars which suit most tastes and budgets.
