Aiguamúrcia is a small town on the banks of River Gaià at an altitude of 320 m, surrounded by areas of breathtaking natural beauty and is renowned for village tourism.

The town has many Catalonian buildings tracing their origin to the Middle Ages amongst which are sprinkled Roman ruins. It is most famous for the Santes Creus Church..

Nearby villages have traditional Catalan farmhouses and are famous for the locally produced wines and Spanish champagne.
