Guadalajara , in the northern part of the Castile-La
Mancha region, is an Arab name that means "river of
stones.
Although not a major tourist destination, it has many
attractions that hold the traveller's interest.
Lagos, Entrepeñas and Buendia are ideal for an array
of water sports.
Other towns of interest include Sigüenza, Brihuega,
Atienza, and Cogolludo to name a few .
The alleys of Bornoba and Sorbe are any nature lover's

Its capital Guadalajara, nestled on the Henares River,
is renowned for its historic buildings such as the Palacio
del Infantado, Plaza del Mercado (Plaza Mayor) and innumerable
churches. It is twinned with many cities of the world
that include Nuneaton in England, Roanne in France,
Livorno and Parma in Italy.
