Roses
The town of Roses hasa distinct personality - one of the most enjoyable towns
in Spain and a big resort on the Costa Brava.
This charming town, with its Greek legacy, has miles of beaches and with various
leisure activities available.
Out and about try a trip to the traditional village of L'Escala and relax in
its small cafes. Explore some of the finest walking tracks at Roses - a walker's
paradise - and the Cap de Creus Natural Park is worth a visit.
For an action packed day try Ampuria Brava - one of the best parachuting centres
in the world where you can test your nerves as you fall free from an amazing
height !
All around the area are blue flag beaches. Take a trip out in oneof the glass-bottomed
boats to view the underwater world, or, for something different an early morning
balloon ride over the stunning scenery.
Roses has more than its fair share of impressive palaces and houses, medieval
buildings such as the Trinitat Castle dots its alleys. The Citadel, the Megalithic
Complex, the Visigothic Fortress, the old church of Santa Maria, the Mallol
House, are just some if the sights you may discover as you wander around sightseeing.
At night the bars burst into life as tourists and locals alike enjoy the summer
evenings.
