Though Badajoz is the largest province in Spain, located in Extremadura region, and it is one of the least densely populated Spanish provinces. The main town of the province is also called Badajoz.

>> Puente de las Palmas in Badajoz - this is a beautiful bridge with 32 arches that was built in the 16th century over the Guadiana River.

>> Basilica Santa Eulalia at Badajoz -the remains of the patron saint of Merida, St. Eulalia is supposedly contained in this church. You can also explore the interesting museum contained in the basement.
>> Roman Circus in Badajoz - the only one of its kind in the whole of Spain, this circus was probably built in 1 AD. Around 30,000 spectators can be contained in this circus
