Pinto
Located in the south east of Madrid province, Pinto has a lot of history and
there are several monuments of historical significance and beautifully constructed
buildings.
The benign climate that prevails here all the year round is an added feature.
that makes the town attractive to visit.
Pinto has numerous attractions to see, but especally the chapels, hermitages
and monasteries. The Saint Anthony Abbot hermitage is one spot that draws visitors,
the hermitage is squeezed in among modern buildings.
The home of Catholic monarchs, Centro Cultural Infanta Cristina (formerly
known as Casa de la Cadena or House of the Chain) is worth a look at , as is
the Ermita Del Cristo (Christ hermitage) where visitors come to to get a glimpse
of the engraving of Christ in its interiors.
Pinto also boasts of being the birth place of several Spanish personalities
including the writers Gonzalo De Arteaga and Carlos Lapena Moron, as well as
the sculptress Pilar Oraa.
The Francisco Rabal town theatre was built in memory of the Spanish actor
Paco Rabal. Centro Municipal De Cultura is the centre of local cultural activities.
So take a wander around Pinto taking in the sigts and also visiting Juan Carlos
Park.
