Perched on a plain, surrounded by a mountain range,
Murcia has the best weather in Spain all year round.
Though fairly less explored, Murcia offers diverse sites
coupled with the warmth of its amiable folks.
Most sites in the town of Murcia, after which thos
region is named, are within walking distance and it's
best to leave the car behind to avoid one-way systems
and crammed car parks.
Sparkling coastline, charming mountain villages and
untouched beauty of Murcia makes it a pleasant holiday
spot.
The region offers the best tapas in all of Spain. Try
not to miss the most popular tapas joints- Plaza de
Flores (Flowers Square) and the one at the University
called Santa Eulalia.
The City Hall and Casino are some of the interesting
spots in Murcia town, while the beaches in the region
are equally inviting.
The fiestas in Murcia are rather exciting and a delight
for enthusiasts. The Easter week celebrations are especially
outstanding, as are others such as Entierro de la Sardina
and Bando de la Huerta.
